FAQs
Where is Kuyper Sports Camp located?
Moon Valley Country Club Gymnasium
151 W Moon Valley Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85023
What’s the daily schedule like?
Camp runs Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The day includes team-based sports, snack breaks, lunch, swimming (Tues–Fri), and other fun activities.
What should my child bring?
Comfortable clothes for active play, closed toed shoes for running, swimming gear & towel for swim days (Tues-Fri), a labeled bag for personal items, snacks or cash for snack bar (optional).
Will there be any outdoor activities?
Yes! We will have one hour each day (Tues-Fri) of swimming located right next to the gym. Kids who don't want to swim will have free play time inside the gym.
Is swimming supervised?
Absolutely! We swim Tuesday through Friday, and a certified lifeguard is always on duty during pool time.
Will my child play just one sport?
Nope! Each week includes a mix of sports like baseball, basketball, soccer, pickleball, dodgeball, and more to keep things fun and engaging. We place kids on teams to create a fun competition and energy throughout the week.
How are teams formed?
Kids are placed on teams based on age and size to help create fair and fun competition throughout the week.
Is lunch provided?
Yes! A delicious lunch is provided a each day, catered by Moon Valley Country Club. This is included within your registration fee. *If you have allergy concerns please reach out to us and let us know. We will work with you to make sure your kids are safe.*
What is served for lunch?
Here is our menu for 2025:
Mondays: pizza
Tuesdays:Â Chicken tenders, fries, fruit cup or pouch
Wednesdays: Cheeseburgers, fries, fruit cup or pouch
Thursdays: Hot dogs, bag of chips , fruit cup or pouch
Fridays: Mac and cheese, bag of chips, fruit cup or pouch
How do you make the camp feel inclusive?
We intentionally design our activities to be welcoming and supportive of all kids, no matter their background or ability. Every child gets the chance to participate, be part of a team, and build confidence.
Is this camp for beginners or experienced athletes?
Both! Whether your child is trying a sport for the first time or has been playing for years, our coaches create an encouraging environment for all experience levels.
Who leads the camp?
Our camps are led by experienced coaches who are passionate about helping kids grow on and off the field. Many of our coaches have been coming back year after year and are trained in youth sports and building a positive environment.
Do I need to sign up for the whole week?
Yes, each camp is a one-week program to give kids a full experience of learning, playing, and growing together.
Can siblings or friends be grouped together?
Absolutely! Just let us know during registration and we’ll do our best to keep siblings or friends in the same group when possible. (Let us know in the notes section at checkout, or you can reach out to us through our contact form).
Is there a refund policy?
We understand plans can change. Full refunds are available up to one week before the camp start date. After that, we may offer credit toward a future camp depending on availability. Just reach out to us and let us know as soon as you need to make a change.
