What does a typical day at camp look like?

Each day includes a mix of sports, skill-building, and games (basketball, soccer, football, baseball), along with fun team building activities.

We also introduce a simple daily theme about bravery, kindness, and resilience and being a healthy competitor—so kids grow not just as athletes, but as people. You can read more about the structure of our days here.

Will my child play just one sport?

Nope! Each week includes a mix of sports like baseball, basketball, soccer, pickleball, dodgeball, and more to keep things fun and engaging. We place kids on teams to create a fun competition and energy throughout the week.

How are teams formed?

Kids are placed on teams based on age and size to help create fair and fun competition throughout the week.

How do you make the camp feel inclusive?

We intentionally design our activities to be welcoming and supportive of all kids, no matter their background or ability. Every child gets the chance to participate, be part of a team, and build confidence.

Is this camp for beginners or experienced athletes?

Both! Whether your child is trying a sport for the first time or has been playing for years, our coaches create an encouraging environment for all experience levels.

Who leads the camp?

Our camps are led by experienced coaches who are passionate about helping kids grow on and off the field. Many of our coaches have been coming back year after year and are trained in youth sports and building a positive environment.

Do I need to sign up for the whole week?

Yes, each camp is a one-week program to give kids a full experience of learning, playing, and growing together.

Can siblings or friends be grouped together?

Absolutely! Just let us know during registration and we’ll do our best to keep siblings or friends in the same group when possible.

Is there a refund policy?

AT KUYPER SPORTS

We offer free guides and practical tools to help parents raising young athletes navigate the emotional side of youth sports—plus in-person summer camps that bring it all to life where kids can play, grow, and develop lifelong skills through sports.

Trusted by families who want sports to build resilience, character, and long-term love of the game for their kids.

Sports are shaping our kids—whether we’re intentional about it or not.

Most parents sign their kids up for sports with the hope that it will build confidence, discipline, and character. But for many families, something shifts along the way.

  • Pressure replaces joy.
  • Confidence becomes tied to performance.
  • Losses feel overwhelming.
  • Burnout shows up earlier than expected.

Parents are left wondering how to support their child without pushing too hard—and how to help them compete while staying grounded.

At Kuyper Sports, we believe sports can be a powerful place for growth—not just in how kids play, but in who they’re becoming.

When guided well, we believe sports can help kids:

  • Build confidence through effort, not outcomes
  • Learn resilience in both wins and losses
  • Regulate emotions under pressure
  • Compete hard while staying connected to who they are
  • And so much more

This belief is at the heart of everything we do.

How Kuyper Sports is helping kids become healthy competitors:

Because raising a healthy athlete doesn’t happen in one moment—it happens over time.

Kuyper Sports began and grew from our own story—as athletes and as parents.

Hey, I'm Shane Kuyper-- My wife Coley and I have spent years in and around competitive sports, and now we’re walking it alongside our seven kids as they grow up in youth athletics. We’ve seen the joy sports can bring, and we’ve felt the pressure, emotional highs and lows, and burnout that can quietly creep in too.

Through our own experiences, we’ve learned how powerful sports can be when they’re guided well—and how important it is for kids to be supported as whole humans, not just athletes.

Kuyper Sports exists because we believe there’s a better way. A way where sports help kids grow in confidence, resilience, and character—learning through trial and error, cheering others on, and staying connected to who they are.

Everything we offer is shaped by what we’re living and learning as a family, with a deep desire to help parents navigate youth sports in a healthier, more hopeful way.
